By Air

Nearest airport – Jammu. It is well connected with the important destinations of India mainly New Delhi and Mumbai and other parts of the country from where you will have connected flights to Jammu. Distance from Paddar – 300Kms.

By Train

The nearest station is Jammu (Tawi), it is also 300 kms away from Paddar. There are many trains running from across the country to Jammu. For trains and timings please check Indian railways website.

By Road

This is the only way to reach Paddar. The State transport,Private Buses and Taxis ply on regular basis to Paddar. One can avail these services from the Main Bus Stand near Jewel Chowk or Indira Chowk near Raghunath Bazar Jammu. Start your journey on National Highway 1A, take a right turn from Batote to National Highway 1B towards Paddar.

What to expect on the way ?

Reaching here is so much fun and you dont feel like those other boring journeys that we travel. There are many picturepaddar roadsque locations on the way to Paddar which will leave you mesmerised and make you question yourself “Why haven’t I visited this part of the world before?” Starting from the plains of Jammu and then ascending to a height of 6640ft above sea level you will reach an equally amazing picnic spot called Patnitop. 

Now that you have reached here; the cool breeze and the beauty of this area will engulf your senses into it and you would develop an impulse to explore more. From here onwards you will have befriended another traveller “The mighty river Chenab” which will guide you all the way to your destinantion Paddar along with the road. 

The next major towns ahead will be Doda and then Saffron producing Kishtwar. Head on straight from Kishtwar and your adrenaline will start to pump up by the sights you will experience on the way, mainly beacause of the adventurous offroad trip and finally Paddar will be welcoming you with all its stunning beauty standing infront of you. Not to mention your so called “Companion” will still be with you.
