A deputation of Paddar people called on Sh. Sunil Sharma Honorable Minister of State for RandB and Revenue Department JandK, Jammu and discussed various problems pertaining to sub division Paddar particularly in the context of latest incessant rain and snow in the whole area.
Sh. Prahlad Singh Rathore and Sh. Ram Singh Chauhan President and General Secretary respectively of Sarva Shakti Sevak Sanstha (R) apprised the honorable minister that in view of swelling strength of devotees drawn from various states of the country in the holy annual Machail Yatra, running into several lakhs, the management is going out of hands of the committee looking into the affairs.
Therefore it was demanded that the Shrine Board be setup on the pattern of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board and in this behalf a bill need be introduced in the legislative assembly in the current budget session, the Honorable Minister was urged upon.
Further the deputationists demanded installation of towers from Gulabgarh to Machail for the convenience of the Yatris. The Honorable Minster was further requested to kindly intervene personally in the context of Helicopter charges from Gulabgarh to Machail Shrine the charges of which in no case should be higher than the rates prevalent at Katra to Sanjhichat, Bharmour to Gouri Kund, Mani Mahesh and Baltal to Baba Amarnath.
Prominent among other deputationists included Sh. Nand Lal Sarpanch Ligri, Bharat Singh Sarpanch, Janki Nath, President BJP Block Unit Paddar, Balraj Parihar, Arpan Singh Rana, Harbans Rana, Lalit Chauhan, Rohit Parihar, Khem Raj, Hari Ram, Pawan Kumar etc. They demanded Degree college/ITI, atleast 2 Higher Secondary Schools for providing feeding stuff to the college, Health Sub Centers, Karthai Hydro electric project, exploitation of mini hydel 9rojects, expediting ongoing roads under PMGSY, modal villages, erection of mobile towers, electrification of left over villages.
The Honorable Minster gave a patient hearing and assured speedy appropriate action to the genuine demands of the area.
