People of Paddar strongly resent Government interference in religious affairs.

The people of Sub-Division Paddar of District Kishtwar held up press conference at Gulabgarh and strongly resented the formation of a committee headed by Deputy Commissioner, Kishtwar under Government order number 102-JK (TSM) of 2022 dated 6/9/2022 and alleged that Government is deliberately interfering in the affairs of Hindu religion whereby the famous Mata Machail Yatra affairs have been and entrusted to Deputy Commissioner, Kishtwar without taking into confidence the prudent citizens of entire Sub-Division Paddar, Distt Kishtwar or Jammu  who hitherto formed the part of management committee popularly call as Sanstha named “Sarv Shakti Sevak Sanstha” registered by the Registrar Society under Act VI of 1998(1941-AD) dated 19th FEB 1997 and that the Yatra affairs shall be carried on by the Tehsildar/Naib – Tehsildar or for that matter Patwari Halqa which is not acceptable to the community at all costs, the release said.

As per the press release issued here by the Advisor to the Sanstha Mr. Ram Singh Chauhan, the press conference was addressed by the prominent citizens namely Sh. Jagmat Narbu, Sarpanch Machail, Janki Nath Sarpanch Gulabgarh, President NC Block Paddar Janki Nath Thakur and others namely kartar Singh rathore executive member BJP, Nek Ram Manhas Ex-President of the Sanstha, Bodh Raj etc. The senior and prudent citizens alleged that there is deep conspiracy to denounce and demean the constructive achievements of Sanstha which they under took for the convenience of lakhs of devotees and the upliftment of the neglected and deprived area of sub division Paddar, entire Chenab Valley and Jammu Province are against the interference of Government in the religious affairs of hindu community throwing the directions and observations of  the division bench of jammu high Court to winds, they regretted.

The prudent citizens further said that all the administrative and financial powers have been snatched from the hands of sanstha comprising of local people and religious heads of the Sanstha by virtue of the said government order no. 102-JK-(TSM) of 2022 dated 6/9/2022 most probably keeping an eye on the huge offering 

At the Shrine Machail running into crores, they deplored and said that the malafide act of the Govt therefore highly unfortunate and this is not acceptable to the Hindu Society at all, they maintained.

It was further pointed out that during PDP-BJP coalition Govt, speaking in the JK assembly on the formation of Mata Machail Shrine Board, the then Monister of State Smt. Priya Sethi had said that the local Sanstha is working quite satisfactorily and that there is no need to constitute a Shrine Board under these circumstances, they said that snatching of financial powers from the Sanstha is highly obnoxious and malafide on the past Govt, the release said and elaborated that under a well hatched a SIT was constituted comprising of the then DIG Police Sh, Bhim Sen Tuti and others to find out some lacuna against Sanstha but they could not find any wrong in their functioning they maintained.

Earlier a release added that a massive protest was held at Tehsil HQ Machail against the formation of Govt Committee for the functioning of annual Machail Yatra in which effigies of Govt were burnt and was attended by men, women, children, young and old shouting slogans against malafide intention of Govt alleging that during the 2022 Yatra bathrooms, sanitation and helicopter services were highly defective to the great inconvenience of the public/deveotees.

Terming the Govt order in forming the management committee as Black Law against the sentiments of Hindu Community and Society as a whole , the speakers exhorted up on the Govt to immediately withdraw the said order failing which the devotees and public will be on the roads and the responsibility of consequences shall squarely lie on the shoulders of administration.
